The Ministry of Culture is celebrating Sewa Parv 2025 from 17th September to 2nd October 2025 as a nationwide festival of service, creativity, and cultural pride. Guided by the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for a Viksit Bharat by 2047, the festival is uniting communities, institutions, and individuals in a collective spirit of Sewa (service), creativity, and cultural expression.

Theme and Tagline
The central theme of Sewa Parv 2025 is “Viksit Bharat”, with the tagline “Viksit Bharat Ke Rang, Kala Ke Sang”. As part of the initiative, the Ministry is organizing one-day painting and art workshops across 75 prominent locations in India, encouraging participation from professional artists, students, and citizens. Opening Day Celebrations – 17th September 2025
The festival commenced with vibrant participation across the country, showcasing the spirit of Janbhagidari (people’s participation):

  • Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh (LKA & NCZCC): Over 1,500 participants joined the art workshop in the presence of Shri Suresh Khanna, Hon’ble Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh, and Padmashree awardees Vidya Bindu Singh and Malini Avasthi.

  • Vadodara, Gujarat (IGNCA): Two workshops at Lal Bahadur Shastri School and Parul University engaged more than 2,000 students and artists.

  • Jammu, J&K (IGNCA): Over 1,300 participants attended the workshop at Convention Centre, Canal Road, graced by Prof. Umesh Rai (Vice-Chancellor, Jammu University) and Padmashree sculptor Rajender Tikoo.

  • Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu (SZCC): Around 100 participants, including professional artists and students, took part in a painting competition.

  • Hyderabad, Telangana (CCRT): More than 500 participants joined interactive sessions with cultural educators and artists.

  • Damoh, Madhya Pradesh (CCRT): Around 500 participants painted on the theme of Viksit Bharat in a workshop inaugurated by local dignitaries.

  • Shantiniketan, West Bengal (EZCC): Over 600 participants joined workshops at Srijani Shilpagram, attended by Padmashri Sujit Chattopadhyay.

  • Anand, Gujarat (WZCC): More than 300 participants joined the art workshop with the presence of district leaders and cultural representatives.

Across these venues, participants expressed their vision of a developed India through art, imagination, and collective creativity.

Digital Participation and Citizen Engagement
To expand outreach, Sewa Parv 2025 also encourages digital participation:

  • Institutional uploads: Events by cultural institutions are being documented and uploaded to the official portal.

  • Citizen contributions: Individuals can upload their artworks, photos, and creative expressions at https://amritkaal.nic.in/sewa-parv-individual-participants.

  • Social media campaign: Participants are invited to share their contributions using the hashtag #SewaParv.

How to Participate
There are three main ways to join Sewa Parv 2025:

  1. Individual Participation – Create an artwork on the theme and upload it to the portal.

  2. Join a Workshop – Attend painting and art workshops at one of the 75 nationwide locations.

  3. Digital Participation – Upload and share artworks online and engage with the campaign on social media.
