Special Focus on Farmers and Medicinal Plant Cultivation
A key highlight of the National Arogya Fair 2026 is its strong focus on farmers’ welfare, particularly in the Vidarbha region. A special programme titled “Ayurvedic Farming, Production and Marketing” will be held on 27 February 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Visava premises.
Farmers from Buldhana district and neighbouring areas will receive expert guidance on:
-
Medicinal plant cultivation
-
Agroforestry practices
-
Processing and value addition
-
Marketing of forest-based and herbal crops
The initiative aims to encourage farmers to allocate a portion of their land to medicinal crops, creating a sustainable and remunerative income source while strengthening the Ayush value chain.
Twin Objective: Healthcare and Economic Empowerment
Conceived under the leadership of Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav, the National Arogya Fair 2026 seeks to achieve two major goals:
-
Enhance economic well-being of farmers through medicinal plant-based agriculture
-
Provide quality Ayush-based healthcare services and awareness to the public
The event invites citizens, farmers, self-help groups, students, health volunteers, and Ayush stakeholders from across Maharashtra and neighbouring states to participate and benefit from this national initiative.
By integrating traditional medicine promotion with farmer-centric livelihood opportunities, the National Arogya Fair 2026 represents a holistic step toward strengthening both public health and rural economy.
