‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’ Youth Summits
Spread the love

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS), as part of its Seva Pakhwada celebrations from 17th September to 2nd October 2025, has launched the nationwide campaign ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’. On 21st September 2025, youth summits and activities were held at over 2000+ locations across India, marking a historic collaboration between spiritual organisations and the youth of the nation.

Lakhs of Youth Take Pledge for a Drug-Free India
The campaign witnessed lakhs of young people coming together to take the Nasha Mukt Pledge and the Swadeshi Bharat Pledge. The movement is unique as MYAS and MY Bharat acted as facilitators, while the events were independently organised by spiritual organisations through their institutions, networks, and volunteers. This model of collaboration reflects the vision of a stronger, healthier, and self-reliant Viksit Bharat.

Spiritual Organisations Lead the Movement
More than 60+ spiritual organisations actively participated in this landmark initiative. Among them were leading names like Isha Foundation, ISKCON, Heartfulness, Chinmaya Mission, Brahma Kumaris, Mata Amritanandamayi Matha, Patanjali, Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad, Chishty Foundation, Namdhari Sikh Sangat, Sufi Islamic Board, and Anuvrat. Together, these organisations mobilised youth at 2000+ locations, with 20 major organisations covering 1700+ locations and 42 other organisations reaching 270+ locations.

Activities to Inspire a Healthy Lifestyle
The youth summits were enriched with activities aimed at discipline, well-being, and nation-building. These included:

  • Yoga and meditation sessions for physical and mental balance

  • Satsangs and cultural performances to connect with traditions

  • Panel discussions with doctors, counsellors, military veterans, and addiction survivors

  • Workshops on drug prevention and awareness

Each session carried a powerful message of living a drug-free life and taking responsibility towards society.

Support from Spiritual Leaders and Influencers
The campaign was further energised by inspiring messages from renowned spiritual leaders such as Sadhguru and Daaji, which resonated strongly with participants. Social media played a crucial role, with influencers, digital creators, and participating organisations spreading awareness under the hashtags #NashaMuktYuva and #MYBharat.

Nationwide Impact and Seva Pakhwada Link
The campaign is part of Seva Pakhwada 2025, observed to mark the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and culminating on 2nd October – Gandhi Jayanti. By combining youth energy with spiritual wisdom, the initiative reinforces the spirit of Janbhagidari (people’s participation) in nation-building.
